What is TNPSC Examination?
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC), Which serves as a recruitment board for our Tamil Nadu Government. This board was initially named as Madras Public Service Commission in the year of 1929. In 1970, the Commission has renamed it as the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. The Constitution of India is still organizing the TNPSC (Under Articles 315 to 323), this commission was introduced to have better civil service personnel in the government.

What the examination encompasses?
Generally, The TNPSC is divided into four groups which are Group - I, II, III and IV and additional Group - IIa, Va, VI, VIIa, VIIb, and VIII. The Group - I will hold the examination for all the top postings in the department. Group - II will the next level of postings which will be followed by Group - III and IV. Each of them will have its cycle of recruiting process. The Group- I will have three-phase of the recruiting process, Prelims, Mains and Direct interview. Group - II is divided into two streams Group II and Group 2A, Group II is an Interview post that has the three levels of the selection process as Group I where the Group 2A non-interview post will have a two-phase selection process. Group III and IV will have the single phase of written examination.
Some essential stuff for your knowledge,
Subjects. For education qualification Group I and II exam need degree qualification, Group III needs HSC/Degree with a minimum of 60% and the Group IV exam candidates should pass in the SSLC or its equivalent. Generally, the minimum age limit must be 18 years and the maximum age limit should be 32 years. The Age limit may vary accordingly to the caste and the type of Group examination. The commission examines Offline Mode. Candidates Need To Fill OMR Sheets Carefully In The Objective Type Written Examination. There Is No Negative Marking Strategy In TNPSC Examinations. Language Section Is Removed From The Preliminary Examination. New Pattern Preliminary Examination Has Total Number Of 200 Questions For 300 Marks. General Studies Section Carries 175 Questions And Aptitude Section Carries 25 Questions.
